From XP to RCP: A New Era of Ownership

If you’ve been active on Reya, you’ve already earned XP. It was our internal measure of user contribution tracking trading activity, staking, and participation over time.

But XP alone doesn’t tell the full story.It’s time to connect contribution with ownership.

That’s where Reya Chain Points (RCP) come in.RCP transitions XP into a clear, rewardable, and trackable system that reflects your share of Reya’s future. 

It’s the bridge from activity to allocation. 

What Are Reya Chain Points?

Reya Chain Points are the foundation of Reya’s ownership model.They are your proof of contribution to the network.They track your impact and will determine how much of ReyaChain you inherit.

RCP are non-transferable. You can’t buy them. You can’t fake them.You earn them by doing things that matter:

  • Trading with size and consistency
  • Staking to secure liquidity
  • Contributing value through community, code, content, and connections

You’re not just a user. You’re a builder of the system. RCP make that real.

Why Now? Why This Matters

For years, DeFi has promised decentralization but delivered it through centralized rails.

Order books offchain. Sequencers closed. Matching engines opaque.The result? Performance with compromise. Scale without sovereignty.

Ultimately, DeFi remained a small satellite orbiting the global financial system

Reya has always been focussed on one goal:Bringing capital markets fully onchain. 

But to do that, we had to solve DeFi’s hardest problem – building a trading system which is both as fast as TradFi and as decentralized as Ethereum. 

XP was the currency while we engineered the breakthrough. Now we’ve found it.

ReyaChain – The world’s first trading specific based rollup – is the breakthrough. 

The unlock for both the millisecond execution and Ethereum grade decentralization needed to transition global capital markets toInternet Capital Markets.With the foundation in place, XP becomes Reya Chain Points – the pre market for the future of all markets. 

XP → RCP Conversion: How It Was Calculated

The total XP pool was split into two categories — one for trading, one for staking — with each allocated a separate share of RCP.

Within each category, your RCP allocation was determined by three factors:

  1. Season weighting — earlier seasons carried higher RCP multipliers to reward those contributing at an early stage of growth.
  2. End-of-season rank — users who finished higher on the leaderboard received a proportional boost.
  3. Loyalty bonus — an additional 250,000 RCP was distributed to users who staked during Season OG and still had assets staked at the time of conversion. This bonus was allocated pro-rata based on staking duration and size.

In total, 3.25m RCP was distributed to stakers, and 2.75m distributed to traders. Going forward, traders will be rewarded more.

All XP earned prior to the launch of RCP was converted automatically. No action was needed. Your RCP balance reflects your full contribution to date.

How to Earn Reya Chain Points

There are three ways to earn:

1. Trade

When you trade on Reya the internal metric that powers your RCP.Your volume, open interest, and trading activity convert into points.Trade actively. Hold positions. Help rebalance the pool. You’ll be rewarded for doing it well.

2. Stake

Staking srUSD supports the passive pool and strengthens the network.The longer you stake, the more you earn.Staking also earns a loyalty boost that grows over time — but resets if you unstake. Stay committed. Stack points.

You can also hold srUSD in different locations (as it’s a token). Different locations have different additional boosts. 

3. Signal

Signal is your ability to grow Reya beyond the screen.It’s a special category of points awarded to users who go above and beyond — helping the ecosystem thrive in ways machines can’t track.

What counts as Signal?

  • Bringing high-value traders or LPs into Reya
  • Writing great threads, articles, or explainers
  • Integrating Reya into dashboards, bots, or tooling
  • Building on ReyaChain
  • Hosting or supporting AMAs, spaces, or educational content
  • Translating docs or onboarding your community
  • Finding critical bugs or proposing useful improvements
  • Creating memes, motion, music, or anything that moves people toward Reya

Signal is reviewed and assigned manually by the Reya Labs team and selected ecosystem contributors. It’s not about farming — it’s about real value.

How Trading and Staking Ranks Work

Your Reya Chain Points aren’t just based on what you do, they’re also shaped by how well you do it relative to others. That’s where ranks come in. Each week, your activity places you into a rank that determines your rewards multiplier for trading and staking.

Trading Ranks (1–10)

Each week, users are ranked based on the tradingPoints they’ve earned. Your rank can move depending on your performance:

  • The top 10% of users in each rank are promoted to the next higher rank.
  • The bottom 10% are demoted to the rank below.
  • If you earn zero tradingPoints, you’re automatically demoted by one rank.
  • Everyone else who earns points stays in the same rank.

In short: trade consistently, outperform your peers, and you’ll move up.

Staking Ranks (1–3)

Staking ranks are more compressed and competitive, with a smaller number of tiers and tighter movement.

  • If you earn zero stakingPoints in a week, you’re automatically demoted by one rank.

Then, depending on your current rank:

  • In Rank 1: the bottom 50% are demoted to Rank 2. No promotion beyond Rank 1.
  • In Rank 2:
    • The top ~17% are promoted to Rank 1.
    • The bottom 20% are demoted to Rank 3.
  • In Rank 3: the top 10% are promoted to Rank 2. No further demotion from Rank 3 (unless inactive).

Ranks are recalculated weekly. Consistency and commitment are rewarded
